1-2 Minute Meditation Designed to Help Calm Your Overactive Mind
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
Inhale through your nose... hold for a moment... and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Let your shoulders drop with the breath, releasing any tension.
Now, bring your attention to the present.
Notice the sensation of your body in the space you’re in.
Feel the weight of your body on the surface beneath you, the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe in and out.
If your mind begins to race with thoughts, go ahead and acknowledge them.
You don’t need to follow them—just let them float by like clouds in the sky.
Return your focus to your breath.
Inhale deeply... and exhale slowly.
Each breath is a reminder to return to a calm and peaceful space.
As you breathe, imagine that with each inhale, you are inviting the calm into your mind.
With each exhale, you are releasing any distractions or stress you may have.
Let your breath guide you, and feel the stillness begin to fill your mind.
In this moment, right now, you are exactly where you need to be.
Take one final deep breath in...
