Sliced Carmel Apple Delights

These are Low Carb & Vegan

How to make sugar free caramel sauce 

Ingredients  

1 Tb Coconut Oil

1/4 Cup Brown or Gold Monk Fruit – sugar free, zero calorie, with erythritol

½ cup Coconut Cream

¼ tsp of Pure Vanilla Extract

Pinch of salt

 

Directions  

1.                  Add all the ingredients to a pan. Melt on a medium to low heat until you see bubbles.

2.                  Reduce to a simmer and cook for 6 - 8 minutes, stirring regularly with whisk, until slightly thick.

3.                  When the caramel is ready – take off the heat and pour in jar. It will thicken more as it cools.  

 

Now for your apples – I love Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith.

4 apples of your choice

Homemade caramel sauce

Sticks

Toppings of your choice - chopped nuts, melted chocolate – Lily’s, granola – Elizabeth

 ·         Apples– slice and soak for a minute in lemon water to reduce them from browning.

·         Spear the apples with your sticks.

·         When your caramel is slightly cooled, dip them and place on parchment paper.

·         Next sprinkle on your favorite fun and healthy toppings.

·         East right away or store in the refrigerator.
